Confirmed from South Shore Parkway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic area by the lake with fishing, sculptures & a recreation trail for hiking & dog-walking.
What runners say about South Shore Parkway
“Beautiful place to take a sunset walk or just sit in the beauty of Longs Peak as you watch water fowl enjoy the lake.”
Loveland Lake is Lovely even in the winter when it's iced over. There’s a giant red heart at the entrance that makes a great photo opportunity with the Lake and mountains in its background. The entire road is scenic and makes for a nice drive on a day out.
Beautiful place to take a sunset walk or just sit in the beauty of Longs Peak as you watch water fowl enjoy the lake. Sat here and ate breakfast enjoying the crisp air. Great experience.
Took a nice long walk around the parkway at Loveland lake with my dog. Talked with quite a few nice folks as they were fishing. Great spot to just enjoy yourself, your neighbors, and the great outdoors, all while still in the city
It's a lovely place. I always enjoy stopping there for a walk. Several variety of trees and a few sculptures. People seem to enjoy fishing and picnicking.
