Confirmed from Seven Lakes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“Beautiful park with lots of green grass and a playground.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Lovely area for walking, cycling, running - met plenty friendly people and dogs on our walk!”

This is a pretty park with a gazebo and picnic tables. The park has wood chips instead of sand and one of the few parks with a merry go round. It is situated in the middle of 7 lakes right next to boyd lake state park. Good looking soft grass and a good place for a dog to run around.

Beautiful any time of year. Walked about 2.5 miles alongside Boyd Lake with my adult kids and both our dogs. Lovely, clean campground with mountain and lake views. No open bathrooms this time of year, but understandable as it's winter after all. Ice fishing near shore looked fun.

One of my favorite parks. It’s a beautiful area with plenty of shade. It has a public bathroom, long trail, water fountain, cute playground, seating areas, big field, and a gazebo. It’s always well maintained and kept clean. It’s also Pokémon Go player friendly!

Beautiful park with lots of green grass and a playground.Walking path is a wide cement, long trail through the park. Picnic tables with shelters. Restrooms were clean and the park is well maintained. Ample parking in off street parking lot. Dog friendly.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
