We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Southside Regional Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Southside Regional Park
We walk to here a lot for the kids too play.. For the most part it's a fantastic place except for those who allow their pets to run free and go to the bathroom and never clean it up. You can take kids here to kick a ball, run around, or even hit a ball. Really a good place to go! Great place for some family time!
This park is my favorite spot in Moorhead for toddlers - it is super little kid friendly and is gated in, super helpful if you have a kiddo that likes to run free at the park.
Good new playground. When it is windy, it is VERY windy here, there is no windblock for a mile square. Nice shelters and lots of soccer fields.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
