Confirmed from Speedwell Forge County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park with hiking trails, plus a creek for fishing and boating.
What runners say about Speedwell Forge County Park
“I did a loop along the creek, tiny bit of elevation halfway through that leads you up to a beautiful clearing before going back down and around towards the parking lot.”
“The trail is well-marked but mostly dirt/mud so be smart and wear hikers or something better.”
“Peaceful scenery, very isolated, just a nice place to walk and relax.”
Needed to go for a hike now That the sun came out. Easy parking and the trail had nice streams that fed into the lake, chirping birds and much needed solitude.
Nice November hike with fairly well marked trail and some elevation change. Parking is available at the trail head and saw other vehicles along another entry point along a field on side road. Only came across a few people so it was quiet.
Really cool place. I saw lots of wildlife. The first loop is along Hammer Creek, and the second loop is in the woods.
Good hiking experience for the whole family. Trail can get a bit muddy at times by the river, but thats what makes it an adventure. Entire trail can take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours to complete depending on your speed and skill level. Peaceful scenery, very isolated, just a nice place to walk and relax.
