Confirmed from Dean L Saylor Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-kept park featuring a playground with musical instruments as well as a number of trails and athletic fields.
What runners say about Dean L Saylor Park
“This park is really well-maintained, and small enough that you can keep track of all of your children.”
“Great little park to run the doggo's or take the kiddos for a fun time.”
Great place to take a nice quiet relaxing walk jog or run also a great place to walk your dog or cat and they have some wonderful playground equipment for your children to play on along with the baseball field to practice on soccer fields then there's is really cool part that the trail goes up and underneath Newport…
Lots of walking trails, baseball and soccer fields and a decent park. Music area with chimes and drums. Large four seater seesaw and climbing equipment
My wife and I are bike riders and we ride this trail as part of the Lititz to Ephrata trail ride. The trail through Dean L. Saylor Park is very well maintained. It is often busy, with people walking dogs and especially with young children.
This park is really well-maintained, and small enough that you can keep track of all of your children. There's a nice walking trail and lots of grass for older children to play in. They have swings for babies and toddlers, swings for children, and one swing for children with disabilities.
Trail conditions & character
“Also, the restrooms, well at least the men's restroom always smells like an outhouse.”
“One suggestion would be to put at both entrances, the distance of each walking loop in different colors so you know how far you have walked, biked, or run.”
