Confirmed from Spicer Creek Wildlife Management Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Spicer Creek Wildlife Management Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (23 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Lots of nice covered paved walk area and some great views of the river.”

Nice short walk along paved/stone dust trails. Two bird blinds to sit and chat in. Great place to view birds fishing, swimming and doing birdy things. Saw a Great Blue Heron, Kingfisher, and Vireo. Late May there were lots of May flies but nothing biting.

★★★★★ — Madeline , May 2023

Super cool walk to and along the east branch of the Niagara river across from North Tonawanda. Lots of nice covered paved walk area and some great views of the river.

★★★★★ — Alan , Jul 2023

Check with specific requirements in Beaver Island park office. Other than that great place for short hike and overlook.

★★★★★ — J , Oct 2022

Great hunting with so many huge bucks there. Easily can tag out just walk away from other people and sit still

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
