Take a quiet walk along this lovely trail. Excellent bird watching especially in Spicer Creek just south of the trail. Enjoy the East River views. I wish there were a kayak launch here. It CAN be done but you have to carry the kayak quite a ways and launch near the bird blind.
Beautiful place to walk, and birdwatch but wear bright colors and note October-January is Waterfowl Hunting Season. Today saw the usual robins, redwinged blackbirds, sparrows, but also terns, red bellied woodpeckers, meadowlarks, and a bald eagle! Variety of ducks, and some aggressive Canada Geese as well.
It's a small preserve, but has nicely paved trails, a waterfowl hunting blind and fairly ample parking. Beautiful in all four seasons, a true "hidden gem" of WNY.
It's a short walk on a very nice handicap accessible blacktop path. There are some amazing trees that nicely block the noon time sun. Also, lots of birds.
