My favorite spot in Manhattan to watch sunsets. Easy to get to with no fee, you can climb down (unfortunately not accessible, sorry) to a rock ledge that surrounds the whole area. Easy walking once you get down. It’s a great romantic spot and there’s hardly ever anyone else there.
Very beautiful and quiet. I went at about 10:30am on a Saturday and I was completely alone. The trail, however, is not entirely visible and more often than not you’ll be doing your own navigating, which honestly made it more fun in my opinion. Also just a good spot to hang out.
This is a great little park with short hiking trails and a picnic area. There are cabins available and they have a nice view, but I didn't stay in one, so I can't claim authority over their state.
