Confirmed from Spring Creek Canyon Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular 5-mile hiking path with a meadow, offering valley views and wildlife sightings.
What runners say about Spring Creek Canyon Trail
“We saw some cool birds, got a great view of the valley, and enjoyed walking through thickets of trees in their fall colors.”
It was a great hike! It's fairly steep and rocky, so I'd recommend good shoes and probably wouldn't take any kids. It's not very shaded, so pick cooler times of the day/year. It has some beautiful views of the valley and mountains, and ends at a good picnic meadow up top. Lots of wildflowers. Took us about 1.
A nice little hike filled with all kinds of vegetative variety... The flowering milk weed was my favorite. Relentlessly steep, uphill almost there entire time. Sturdy shoes are a must. I went in late July... The tall grasses before the end were a bit itchy, so if that bothers you, bring pants and a long shirt.
this is the kinda trail that you absolutely have to enjoy an apple on the top. nothing like biting into a scrumptious juicy apple while gazing upon the autumnal colors on the horizon. 4/5 recommend, not enough benches lmao. shoutout to the happy fella who stopped to chat with us with such enthusiasm
Great little trail system. You can head north for views of the valley or head east into the trees, etc. Some fun places for kids to scramble if you go right at the first fork.
