Confirmed from Spring Mill Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring biking trails, plus some parking at the local train station.
What runners say about Spring Mill Trail Head
“The trail to the north is quite beautiful beyond Norristown, though, especially as you get close to Valley Forge.”
“Great pit stop when your biking or running, has a bike repair shop and restaurant nearby in a nice neighborhood!”
It's part of the Schuylkill River Trail, SRT. Busy suburb. Bike shop is feet from trail. Head West away from city and you'll pass Conshohocken Brew Pub. Obviously during covid-19 will impact shop openings. Trail use also way up in 2020. 5 miles from Manayunk, famous Philly neighborhood.
The spring mill trail was beautiful you can see trains driving and the schuylkil river 5 stars
A nice section of the SRT that is flat where I like to rollerblade or run. It's also a good starting point to do an easy ride into manayunk, grab something to eat/drink and loop back. The parking lot is open to trail users on the weekends and after 3pm on weekdays. There's a coffee shop/ bike store nearby.
Plenty of parking here, scenic trail is a great place to start a bike ride to the art museum. It's about 8 miles or so and follows along side the train and river. There's plenty of wild flowers and even a paw paw patch about half way between the trailhead and manayunk. Mostly gravel trail until you get closer to philly
