Confirmed from Henry Lane Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Henry Lane Park
“It’s gorgeous, well maintained, and the trails are varying in difficulty but easy enough for beginners while still being challenging for experienced hikers.”
“It’s gorgeous, well maintained, and the trails are varying in difficulty but easy enough for beginners while still being challenging for experienced hikers.”
“Small park with well marked trails.”
Henry Lane Park is a 22 acre natural park that provides trails for hiking and horseback riding. The park connects by an unnamed trail to the trails in Natural Lands Trust Saunder's Woods.
Small park with well marked trails. It's adjacent to the Saunders Woods Preserve to the south and the Kenealy Nature Park to the north. This makes it possible to walk 5+ miles with minimal backtracking. If you combine all three, you get a good workout - lots of hills.
Another somewhat hidden but excellent hike. It has a path that at one point connects to Kenealy, a bonus if you want to make it a very long hike. Also near that point you can cross Youngs Ford Rd. to get to Ashburn Field, which has a playground. Lots of streams, pretty trees and so many rocks.
Great hiking trails, that connect to other hiking trails/parks. I typically always hike alone here and I feel completely safe. It’s gorgeous, well maintained, and the trails are varying in difficulty but easy enough for beginners while still being challenging for experienced hikers.
