Confirmed from Springlawn Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail for walking and biking within a park featuring shaded areas plus ruins and a creek.
What runners say about Springlawn Trail
“Walking down a nice dirt road pass what were once beautiful stone buildings.”
“If you don't take the spur to the left, it's nearly completely in the shade.”
“Bring bug spray; you will need it on calm days in the late spring and summer.”
“Easy and flat accessible trails for those looking for an easy walk or hike.”
“Bring the kids and your dogs and enjoy a walk through nature.”
Nice easy trail. If you don't take the spur to the left, it's nearly completely in the shade. Not paved, but easy to walk on (although some spots get muddy). Only slightly hilly. A little over 4 miles straight out and back. Watch for the ruins, they are interesting to see, but mostly hidden. Limited parking.
A great spot to walk some trails. There are a few spots to have a good view of the water and can even get down to it. There are a few different trails you can take and they are decent lengths. It can get pretty muddy in spots after the rain. Pet friendly as well.
Nice place to walk for a four mile round trip. Naturally you can shorten by just turning around. It is an in and out trail, no loop is possible. There are a couple of side trails to take to change it up a bit. Nice for dog walking or riding a bike.
Me and my family love to walk here in the fall, it is gorgeous! But make sure to ware something fluorescent during hunting season, as it is by many files with deer!
