Confirmed from Squak Mtn- Bullitt Fireplace Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Forest, fern and tree-filled landscape, traversed by an array of trails for hiking and walking.
What runners say about Squak Mtn- Bullitt Fireplace Trailhead
“Well maintained trial and nice weekend family hiking but no much mountain top views to the city as covered by trees.”
“Cloudy day, so I can't say whether or not there's any great views.”
“Easy hike up to Debbie's View from here (less than 1hr up).”
Great hiking trails! Loved the variety of options in terms of length and the trails were well maintained. Would definitely recommend.
Delightful little hike to the chimney remains, plus a little loop nearby. Trail was fairly easy with a little vertical that my thighs felt the next day. Accessible very easily from downtown Issaquah. There isn't much parking so go early on the weekends or park nearby and walk to the trailhead.
My favorite backyard mountain. There are three summits: Southeast Peak, Central Peak, and West Peak. There is an old fireplace and some other dilapidated buildings throughout the park. There are roughly 40 miles of trail with many wooden bridges. There are 3 lookouts, mostly on the west side of the mountain.
I found a video recording camera on the right side of the trail, just past the 2nd sign for the fireplace— directly after the nurse log with 4 trees coming out on the right side (as you head up the mountain).

“Well maintained trial and nice weekend family hiking but no much mountain top views to the city as covered by trees.”
“I like this trailhead because there's always a spot to park and it is pretty low key compared to the main parking area a little higher.”
“Not too busy, excellent trails that are sometimes wide enough to walk two abreast, very gradual climbs even though there can be quite a bit of elevation gain.”
“Well maintained, most downed trees have been cleared, only a few muddy spots.”
“Delightful little hike to the chimney remains, plus a little loop nearby.”
