Confirmed from Squibb Creek Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Squibb Creek Falls
Don't use Google driving directions, it took me to someone's dead end Street House. I used the app all trails to get the correct location. This trail has some beautiful sights. There are about 10 Creek crossings, but there are plenty of stones protruding from the water to help reach the other side.
Start out at Sampson Mountain Wilderness trailhead. Beautiful waterfall with a moderate hike. 4 mile hike. Around 1200ft elevation gain. There are creek crossings and some you can avoid getting wet. I counted five smaller waterfalls/cascades before you reach Squibb creek falls.
Good local trail that shares it's route w a couple other, strenuous trails. Keep your eyes sharp during snake season in taller, grassy areas.
