We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of St. Charles River Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Charles River Trail OMGGGGG this place is honestly one of the most peaceful spots ever!”
Clean and quiet trail. Pleasant was to walk. Water in the Fox River is calming. Birds are sweet singing.
Really nice, easy walk near the river. Paved path over the river, through woods, and open spaces. Walk as far or short as you please.
Just a great trail that follows The Fox River thru several towns from Aurora to Elgin. Shaded for most some hills but mostly flat.
