Confirmed from Stage's Pond State Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“A quiet park with lots of wildlife!”

We were on our way down to Circleville from Columbus when we stumbled across this gem. Just park outside the gate and walk down the road about 100ft to the entrance to the path. After entering the path, we entered into a beautiful field scattered with everything nature! We took the path to the sign with the map.

Normally a place like this would get four stars from me, but what really bumps it up is the thoughtfulness put into it. First off, there's two trails that are completely concrete, allowing anyone even those in wheel chairs to appreciate this place.

Wow what a great place. No one was around. It was a little buggy but honestly if it wasn’t there would probably be something ecologically wrong so wear a little big spray and enjoy the trail. The berries were ready to eat and we enjoyed a few with the birds - super tasty!

Went here for the first time two weeks ago after driving back to Columbus from Chillicothe. Very beautiful reserve and great for walks/jogs!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
