Confirmed from Stark Parks Nickel Plate Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Local trail near me I love going to walk or ride my bike. It's very clean, peaceful, and quiet. Connect to Mary Metzger Park in Louisville.
Great place to run, hike, and ride a bike. I have ran on this trail for 24 years. It connects to Metzger Park. You could easily put in 4-5 miles with an out and back run. Could also play disc golf on the North side of the trail.
Nice trail, good for bikes and walking. Lots of friendly dogs and people.
Beautiful lush wooded trail that spans 1.9 miles paved and further on unpaved. The paved area extends from the trailhead just past the local middle school to a parking area just off Nickleplate St. The unpaved portion extends across Nickleplate. Amble parking allows you to park and hike from either direction.
Trail conditions & character
“Paved & wheelchair accessible, although there is a small paved hill from parking lot to main paved trail.”
