Confirmed from Starkey Wilderness Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“All lot of well-maintained trails.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“The six-mile paved trail is in excellent condition and runs through the beautiful forest.”

I've walked a trail, biked a trail, and today I went off the paved bike trail to try the mountain bike trails. I did small ones, #s 5-8. Fun! I'm so excited to go back and try others. Today I saw a wild turkey and lots of gopher turtles, of course. It was interesting to see all the diggings from the wild pigs.

Clean & well kept. Many restrooms. Multiple parking areas. Bike path is wide, paved and long. Also, unpaved trails through the woods. Lots of wildlife. Turtle nesting season right now!

Beautiful, scenic place. Recently had family photos done in the large open field towards the entrance. The paved trails are bike and stroller friendly. The dirt trails are fun for a hike. This place is huge, honestly I haven't been able to go on all the trials yet but am looking forward to exploring it more.

Loved our trip to Starkey park. Paved trail is nice. But the off road cross country mountain bike trails look even better! Get a map because this park is huge. You wouldn't want to get lost or run out of light. Lots of gopher turtles.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
