Confirmed from Stephens Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Stephens Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (107 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Although I do wish they left more than one bathroom open, but I understand staffing issues and having to clean both bathrooms daily (or even ever other day) is probably an issue.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Elliptical machine, recumbent and upright bikes, and other equipment is a great feature, and trees on the Southside provide shade while you work out.”

Clean park, new facilities, small path for kids to scooter/ bike on that you can see from the shaded picnic tables, tennis courts, and bathrooms. Will definitely come again.

★★★★★ — Grace , May 2023

William's Water Wheel- Splashpad is great for the mid week summer heat. Water was refreshing, but not cold. Big wheel that has kids & adults running into place before it goes off, and smaller one that dump bucket amounts every min or so.

★★★★☆ — Jd , Jul 2019

Great little park that has been updated recently. Short walking path. Williams Park and Arbuckle Acres has better walking / jogging paths. Elliptical machine, recumbent and upright bikes, and other equipment is a great feature, and trees on the Southside provide shade while you work out.

★★★★★ — David , Jul 2021

90% of attendees are here for the 6 pickleball courts. There is a small playground, public workout equipment, a picnic shelter, and a couple bathrooms. Williams Park is quite close for regular park activities and walking trail desires.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Stephens Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
