Confirmed from Stephens Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Unpretentious option offering multiple athletic fields, playgrounds & picnic pavilions.

What runners say about Stephens Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (434 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Clean, excellant seating, power, lights, fire pit, bathrooms within close distance, plenty of parking, excellant shelter for any occasion.”

Absolutely amazing park! It has volleyball court, playground for the kids, basketball hoop, and plenty of running space! And there's even walking/biking/running trails. I would not recommend them for elderly or those in a wheelchair as the pathways in some spots is very narrow (washed out by the rain).

Nice little park with awesome amenities. Great trails for walking, running and biking. Pavilions throughout the park. As well as some really kept up ball fields and a brand new basketball 🏀 court. All in all, this is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon.

Great urban park with legit mountain bike trails maintained my QCFORC. Playgrounds, baseball fields, pavilions, sand volleyball, horseshoes etc. Safe place to bring your kids.

★★★★★ — Brandon , Jul 2022

Good community, basketball, baseball, one of the coolest trails, volleyball court, jungle gym slides swings, and it even when it snows some good sledding.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 4 mentions

“Currently the swings are about 40" off the ground, so they need lowered or about 12-18 inches of mulch added back in for kids to be able to climb on them.”
