Confirmed from Story Woods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great Park. Quite the little gem of Delhi. They could benefit from expanding if it is not already land locked. We use it frequently. I almost hate to review it because it's such a great park. Trail with creek that is well maintained, one shelter big enough to enjoy and meet neighbors.

★★★★★ — Tim , Oct 2024

A nice local park with 2 miles of walking trails, a playground and picnic shelter. There are usually plenty of runners and dog walkers throughout the day. The bathrooms are locked during the winter and the parking lot is used as overflow for school sporting events.

Very clean playground and shelter areas, nice wooded trail to walk on. Located in a nice cozy neighborhood. I love taking my little ones there. Even better, when you pass by other people they smile and sometimes say hello. :)

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
