We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Stultz Trail Head yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Stultz Trail Head
“This a great place to look at scenery and get away from it all beautiful views”
Nice little parking lot across the road, south, from the actual trail. Never many people here and I'm not sure why. Great views, whale marked trail.
You still need dirt bike experience to ride this trail but a lot less then Tanner or East Bear, which are both pretty aggressive. The climb is respectable and the views of the Sangres to the West are unbeatable once your on the plateau
First time on the trail. Great leg workout going down and up the ravine. Ice covered the creek when we were there. Very peaceful setting. Might be a future picnic spot!
Tough hike. 6 miles up and 6 back. Worth the push and view. Make sure you have good shoes with Fred. Lots of loose rock on trail
