Confirmed from Sturges Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic park featuring playgrounds and fitness stations, along with a beach for swimming.
What runners say about Sturges Park
“Peaceful park, quite, clean, and plenty to do: play music, workout, walk, run, bike, swim or just sit back and watch life as it happens ❤🦋🌿”
“It has nice covered areas to sit near the playground and benches, not to mention the beautiful view of the buffalo lake.”
“There is also a place for kids to play, which makes it a nice family-friendly location.”
Sturges Park in Buffalo is a beautiful park and a really nice spot right along the lakefront. The lake area itself is gorgeous, and the water looked very clean, which immediately made the whole park feel inviting. I was there for a triathlon event, and it was a great location for something like that.
This is a very nice park. Buffalo is fortunate to have such a nice park with a beach walk, playground, canoe rentals and even a large chair to take some nice photos. The small splash pad is inviting on a hot summer day. Its a park for all ages and interests.
Nice park with a play area, basketball court, outdoor workout equipment, outdoor chimes and instruments, fishing pier, boat landing and rentals, a swimming beach, shelters for rent, grills, walking path, pet station (baggies) and bandshell.
Sturges Park is a absolute gem! The beach area is perfect for relaxing and catching stunning sunsets. The trail is a fun adventure with cool musical art pieces to play with. Kids will love the playground and the park often hosts exciting events. It's a great place to spend a day outdoors.
