Did the hike on a Monday morning, showed up at 10 AM and I was lucky to find a parking space. I absolutely LOVE this hike. I did Sturtevant falls trail and hermit falls on the same day. It wasn’t too bad but i must say, i arrived at 6am to avoid some of the sun. I recommend doing hermit before Sturtevant if you decide on doing them in the summer. Sturtevant has more shade. Beautiful falls!
It was a nice walk, very busy trail 🥵 it was hard to get a parking spot. You have to be there early or a little late. Pretty much easy but the last 1/4 coming back to the parking spot can be dificult for some. Please don't leave any trace, there's a place to buy food or drinks.
This is one of LA’s most popular falls. It’s a 60 foot waterfall drop and is pretty especially after during a rain. About half of the trail is shaded as you traversed along cabins, campsites and lake beds. We went during September during one of the hottest days and started around 7:30 AM.
