Confirmed from Sugar Bottom Recreational Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Tent camping is good, you have to walk through a couple of other sites to get to #7, #1 looks to be the best one it's off the main path. Site 6/7 would be good for a big group since they are right next to each other.

Great place to camp, hike, fish, or get out on the water. This place has very clean shower rooms. Very clean park. Great fishing. I caught monsters out on the boat.

We have been camping at this location for many years. Campsites are a decent size and there are many. I like how there is a mix of walk-up and reservable sites. Shower and restroom facilities are decent, and views are beautiful. Nice relaxing campground for groups small or large.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 10 mentions

“I've been riding trails here for three decades they are awesome and amazing the views are spectacular they stretch far.”
