We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Sugarloaf Mountain Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Sugarloaf Mountain Trailhead
I enjoyed the waterfront views. I prefer trails with elevation. I like to trail run in a park that is more hilly than flat. I’ll be revisiting this park very soon for more trail running and hiking. This park offers an extensive offering of trails with stunning waterfront views.
Excellent trail, but if you plan on starting the trail here and doing Breakneck Ridge in reverse, I would strongly encourage reconsidering that plan. What is already a fairly difficult scramble going up will become extremely difficult after several miles when going down.
Wow exhilarating trail..simply amazing trekking experience..words are never enough to describe the wonderful view once you reach the peak...combining trekking adventure with fall color watch is an awesome experience for us and surely this place has to be one of the best in the east coast for fall colors.
