Confirmed from Sunnyside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park featuring walking and bike trails along with a playground.
What runners say about Sunnyside Park
“Also theres great views of the androscoggin river from the trails.”
The park is sort-of hidden. You'd have to live near it to know the park exists or heard about it through someone. It's a hit or miss as far as how quiet or busy the park gets. There's a small play ground, a basketball court, a decent size field, a bike trail and some walking trails. Parking is off street parking.

It was quiet & a nice place to eat lunch in nature. You can go for a nice walk, bring your kids to play, or take your doggie for a nice walk. My first time here was a positive visit.
Vary nice park it has a big field , basketball courts and a nice size playground. It's the start and end the river walk..

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
