Confirmed from Sylaward Trail at Lake Howard's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (215 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“Tons of mushrooms along the trails, rarely crowded, beautiful place, we have young kids we take here for hikes fairly often.”

🪧 well-marked 4 mentions

“Leaves were changing colors and the trail is easy to follow.”

Great mountain bike trails, suitable for beginners but progressive enough for intermediate & above riders as the faster you ride, the more flowy and fun it is. The scenery and views are great as well and trails are well taken care of.

This is some of the best mtb trails you will put tires on. The local club keep the trails well maintain. Fast with alot of elevation and some minor technical turns. I recorded around 14.5 miles for a out and back of the trail system.

Beautiful Lake & Trails! Amazing Views! Friendly staff! Pic Nic Areas!

★★★★★ — Lisa , Dec 2020

This park was a pleasant surprise, surrounded by beautiful terrain and an extensive lake for canoeing and fishing. Our 2nd visit. $4 per boat launch. Although there are biking/hiking trails, we enjoyed the canoe / kayak trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
