Confirmed from Trammel Trailhead Pinhoti Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Trammel Trailhead Pinhoti Trail
Google Maps won't take you all the way there. When it says you have arrived, turn right, go a few hundred yards and then turn right. In a short distance you'll see a parking area on the right that is big enough for about four cars. The trail dips off into the woods to the left about 200 feet beyond the parking area.
Kudos to the trail crew. I saw plenty of blow downs but all of them were cut! Overall it is a great trail. The first 2 miles lead through a burned forest that vigorously rejuvenates with deciduous trees. I didn't notice any invasive shrubs or trees.
I generally love excitement and wonder in my day to day life and I really experienced that when I discovered this trail that is within a very reasonable distance from my hometown.
Lovely trail that is easy to follow with good scenery. GPS takes you to a dirt road when going here, follow it and you'll see a small parking area to park, then follow the blue markers on the trees to the trailhead.
