Confirmed from T.W. Richardson Grove's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Curvy urban park along the Elm Fork Trinity River, offering a canoe launch, paths & picnic areas.
What runners say about T.W. Richardson Grove
“Clean and very well maintained except that the canoe/kayak launch was damaged during flooding last year and has never been rebuilt.”
“Great part of Campion Trail, with parking, kiosks and a beautiful view.”
“Amazingly quiet considering LBJ/635 is practically right on top of it.”
Watch out while walking/biking the trails - this is the time of the year when snakes come out! Saw this one resting on the trail yesterday.
Campion has smooth trails perfect for inline skaters and wide enough it isn't too onerous to share with the occasional cyclist. But here's the main thing DO NOT LET ANDROID GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS!. It will put you in an endless circle. Take 635 west to MacArthur and do a u-turn.
Always enjoy coming out to this park. Usually run out here a few times a week and park is always clean and kept up with. Good amount of people on bikes or running so keep head on a swivel just in case for bikes.
This is a great location to park if you want to access the more secluded part of the Campion Trail. Well kept, but unfortunately not enough parking.
