Beautiful recently improved urban nature preserve. New additions include ADA approved decomposed granite pathways, elevated wildlife viewing areas over the lake and stream. Shaded parking. A wonderful natural oasis nestled within the DFW metroplex.
The crushed granite pond trail was a nice short loop for a relaxing walk. There are overlook areas to enjoy the view. The pond doesn't have water right now, but I look forward to seeing it when it does. There are easy-to-read animal and plant identification markers.
Great for a walk in the woods. I also use it for trail running. It's all trail and no payment. Good tree coverage so the temp is bearable even when hot outside.
This is a great place to go walking. It's very small, probably only 3 miles total distance if i had to guess, but a great semi-escape from the city. Unfortunately, you can still hear the loud hum of the highway no matter where you're located in the park.
