A picturesque, undemanding trail leading through the hills, among trees and fields. From there you can go to other trails or make a loop. There are parts where, unfortunately, you can still hear the traffic, but this does not change the fact that it is a great option for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city…
Beautiful trail starts at Juan Bautista de Anza Park, adjacent to Malibu Canyon, that is easy to navigate. We were there after big rains in mid-February and saw a huge Turkey Vulture hunting through the Oak Trees and amongst the foothills, really cool bird with nearly 7 foot wingspan.
A wonderful trail that offers several connections to neighboring trails, and can be made into a loop or an out and back hike. The trail starts behind Juan Bautista deAnza Park, and climbs swiftly out of the valley after the small bridge crossing.
