Amazing and huge place. If it your first time to visit I advice you to put Cheaha State Park in your GPS. The road is very curvy and you should drive very slow. Once you arrived to the park you will face a gate asking 5$ per person/ registration office and small shop.
We entered through the Nubbin Creek Trailhead and hiked about 2 miles to the first primative campsites to stay Friday - Monday. We chose this area because it's not too far from the only water sources in the entire Nubbin Creek to Pinhoti Trail to McDill Point Loop (which I believe is part of Cave Creek Trail as well).
Love my hometown backyard. I literally grew up in these woods. There are so many things to do here. Some of my favorite places are the trails and the creeks. There are several waterfalls and swimming holes and also plenty of hiking trails.
This is a great place. Cheaha included it's a great day or couple of days spent exploring there are a couple of Waterfalls here that we went to see. If you're a waterfall Hunter Salt Creek Falls is definitely one to see it is amazing.
