Confirmed from Tallmadge Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Made a visit to this beautiful park yesterday. I lived in the area 40+ years ago. My Mother and Father made Mechanicville their home from 1974 until they both died in 2002 and 2022. My Father loved that City, his neighbors & friends, and most of all, he loved Tallmadge Park!

I'm not originally from the area, I grew up in the desert southwest, & when my boyfriend asked me where I'd like to go on my birthday this past August, I told him "show me something nice around here.

Tallmadge Park is an absolute gem! The lush greenery, well-maintained trails, and serene atmosphere create the perfect escape from the city. Whether you're looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, have a picnic, or simply relax, this park has it all. It's a hidden treasure that everyone should experience.

This is a relaxtion park or a park to walk or jog in , or to bring your pup too. This isnt a playground park. That's located on park ave . My grandson enjoyed being able to just run safely knowing there was plenty of grass to do so. They also have wedding ceremonies here. Peaceful if u want to be outside.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
