Confirmed from Tallman Mountain State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful!!!!!! My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday in May and had an amazing time. I love how there are options to barbecue here. It got a little crowded at around 12 but that was to be expected. The park is clean and big so you could social distance safely.

We park in the lot off of route 9w next to The 9W Market. That parking lot is free. This is one of our favorite places to come for all seasons. There is the paved trail that is convenient to walk on. But the real fun and beautiful part of the park is the long path trail.

Full service State Park along the Hudson. Has picnic areas with grills, playgrounds, hiking trails, well maintained bathrooms etc even a nice (privatized pool). Things of note: Parking charge of $8 in season, bring bug spray in the summer as it boggy along some trails so particularly after a stretch of rain it gets…

This park is very beautiful and great for Hikes. They provide limited parking which is free during the week but they do charge on weekends. During summer hours if you do not come early the parking came be full. They have a Pool that is Seasonal during summer days only. For Pool members parking is free.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 25 mentions

“Very nice place to go out for a walk, seemed kind of small compared to other parks but pretty good view into the Hudson river, and the piermont marsh.”
