Confirmed from Tassajara Ridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dirt trails, some for hiking, amid arid grass and lush green hills offering views.
What runners say about Tassajara Ridge Trail
“Beautiful hiking area, nice change in elevation and great climate in fall and spring.”
“Going in midsummer is not a great idea as there is no shade on top of the ridge and temperatures can easily exceed 100°.”
“Pretty easy trail for people of all ages.”
May 2021 - Heavenly place for a walk or cycle ride. The grass was dry and yellow when I visited but still the views were magnificent. We spotted a Coyote too. Ample parking space is available, especially during weekdays morning when i visited.
Hiking in rainy weather is a challenging experience. But otherwise an easy trail. Opening the trail gate was tricky, adding a video on how to open
Lovely place for hiking with family and friends. There aren't any trees on this trail but the scinic views from top of the trail is super awesome. Also the trail is easier to get to.
Beautiful trail if you get to see wildflowers. They might be around for a few more days. It’s for all levels. Bring water and hat if you are hiking in the noon as it’s not shady. Evening sunset time was very pretty here.
