Beautiful hike, covered with wild flowers. Cows were grazing grass all around. Encounter with wild brown bunnies, lady bugs, sparrows. While coming back, saw beautiful sunflowers 🌻.
The Tassajara Ridge hike from Hidden Valley Park in San Ramon was fantastic, providing incredible views all along the trail. It's important to bring plenty of water and a hat, as there's absolutely no shade.
Mannnn. We chose the hottest day this year to do this. It was a great hike, moderate to difficult, depending on your athleticism. I almost passed out from the heat. We did a solid 4miles . Would come back on a cooker day since there's no trees here for any shade.
It is a nice open area with cows grazing in the opening. Parking lot is not very big with probably about 30 parking spaces and handicap parking. There are also couple trailer parking spaces. There is a dog park at the entrance to the trail. The dirt road is at least six feet wide.
