Confirmed from Tepe Overlook's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Undeveloped area offering hiking trails with mountain and city views as well as sunsets and wildlife sightings.
What runners say about Tepe Overlook
“What a great treat to see the clash of a giant city with the beautiful, mountainous wilderness of Colorado.”
“Went to view the sunset while visiting Denver, and loved the views, the easy hike/walking trails, and the deer that we saw while there”
Great panoramic view of the front range and mountain. Trail are great for walking, trail run, and biking. Not too steep with some loose rocks and sand on the trail. I enjoyed running here up the slope and down plus the view is always worth getting too. If you like sunrise or sunset this is a great place.
Great walk. Some incline parts but not too steep. The paths are good and maintained . Beautiful views of Denver from the top. We saw a lot of deer. It’s about a 5 mile hike around.
One of the best views of the city laid out before the Front Range. It's a steady uphill, but very doable and 100% worth the effort. It's a great walk even in winter as snow just doesn't stick around for long.
FANTASTIC VIEWS of the entire front range, sunset and sunrise are spectacular. The park officially closes at sunset but there are no gates. We were able to hike to the top and got back after dark and that seems to be OK.
