Confirmed from The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
University-affiliated gardens & arboretum with walking trails through a variety of themed displays.
What runners say about The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University
“The walking paths were not well maintained- very bumpy.”
“The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University is a beautiful and serene place to visit year-round.”
“I'm sitting on a bench under a big leafy plant so calm here except for the occasional chainsaw cutting down some branches.”
Went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all. We enjoyed walking around on the paths. The treehouse playground was very neat. I loved all the big beautiful trees and the green grass. I really enjoyed the metal art throughout- very nice rustic touch added. However, it wasn’t very stroller friendly.
What terrific gardens! Even in early spring there’s plenty to see. I appreciated all the signage on the trail and the information about ecology. They are some very nice specimens in this garden, a few of my favorite.
The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University is a beautiful and serene place to visit year-round. Even in the winter, when the plants are dormant, the gardens and walking trails offer a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This is a very quiet, peaceful place to visit. Wide variety of colorful plants and trees. Plenty of shade with seating to sit and rest and enjoy the garden. Lots of insect and critters.
