Confirmed from The Forty Acre Wood's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Really nice 👌 very easy trail and gorgeous in any direction.”

This is a magical place! It's private but the owners are so inviting. There is a neat little shack to log yourself in a guest book as well as learn more about the Woods. There is a whole map and fun names for each area. Definitely want to hike it again when I'm in the area!

Beautiful forest with hiking trails and swimming. So much to do! Toys, small zip lines for the kids, swings, hammock, and horseshoes right by the creek The bathrooms and picnic area are very clean. The owner is usually around to say hello and is so kind! $5 a person for all this! We always have the best time 😊😊

Tons of loops and overlapping trails that are well maintained and easy to follow. Great place to take kids and dogs. The owners ask for donations,$5 per person and it is well worth it.

Absolutely beautiful place! This place is privately owned, but welcomes the public with open arms. My wife and I came from Florida on a business trip and found this within minutes of our hotel. There is a $5 per person admission that you leave in the welcome shack on an honor system.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
