Great hike, multiple small water falls, twilight tunnel, and tons of little coves and caves to explore! I was here for 3 hours, hauling butt, hiked about 5 miles. I didn't see half of what this beautiful gorge has to offer! It had rappelling hooks for those that rock climb. Some of the main rails even have guard ropes.
Hands down the closest and best hiking spot near Hartselle/Decatur area. NOT really recommended for swimming (see photos) unless the water is high. The hike isn't harsh but you have to be aware of how steep the ground can be if you go down some spots off the trail.
Beautiful Place! My man and i were told we should come visit hurricane creek after our skydive was canceled bc of the weather. So glad we listened :) It made the 2 hr drive all worth it :) I love the beautiful green mossy rocks ! Be careful ! Its very slippery.
2025.12.24 ~06:55, i was the 2nd to arrive at Hurricane Creek park. Nice cool ~60s_F. and Out i went for a hike. The trails were in good condition, though be careful of the loose rocks, those wet and slippery spots. Lovely rock formations, and waterfalls. And the Twilite Tunnel was a beauty 💎
