Confirmed from The Knob's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about The Knob

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (514 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 17 mentions

“The trail through the woods is really peaceful and leads you out to some of the most beautiful water views I have seen in a long time.”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“Beautiful pot to visit, easy walk (wide path or thru the woods options), less than one mile round trip.”

So beautiful! The parking was super limited and the road to it is small so go early! The hike was pretty quick, like 5 minutes! There's a little beach on either side of it as well!

A short walk from the parking area, but worth it. The view is beautiful of the water. There is not a lot of parking so I was say it'd be more packed on a weekend. Definitely something to check out if you are in the area. And you can walk down the the beach area.

Best place to watch the sunset if your in the greater Falmouth area. Parking can be limited and there is a bit of a walk to the beach but nothing difficult. For the most direct way to the beach, take a right at the billboard you come across after walking the trail a little bit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
