Confirmed from The Maples Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Maples Park is a fantastic spot for families! The kids had a lot of fun exploring the playground and running around the open green space. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and felt very safe. There’s plenty of room for picnics and walking trails too. Definitely a great place to spend a sunny afternoon!
Very nice place lots of walking and sitting places. Clean and well kept. Nice play ground for kids!
I tried Maples Park with the 3 kiddos I nanny and I was completely impressed! Very clean playground and splash park. Adorable play set with fun slides and other exciting activities! The park has a walking trail and a "mini castle" that the kids found fun to explore! Highly recommend this park.
This park is well maintained and kept clean. While it’s an overall small park, the walking paths are paved and clear. Large playground. It has a decent splash pad in the summer months for younger kids. It’s also a great spot for sledding!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
