Confirmed from Wendell Moore Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Wendell Moore Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (111 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Nice setup with the playground for children, pavilions are well kept for meet ups, is nice and quiet most times, and the pool opening over summer is a nice plus.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Very scenic and fishing is permitted in certain areas.”

They have a New Hammock Station installed in the park off the walking path near the lake. An Eagle Scout Project!

This is a nice little park in Lagrange. It overlooks a small lake. There are running paths, basketball courts, tennis and pickle ball courts. The rec center sets up two pickle ball nets on the tennis courts for play. Plenty of parking and felt safe leaving my car. It was within view the whole time.

★★★★★ — Logan , Mar 2024

Very nice park with Frisbee golf and wonderful walking trails around lake.

★★★★★ — Russell , Oct 2021

The park trails edge Reformatory Lake. Very scenic and fishing is permitted in certain areas. Far from home, I needed a place for my dog to walk and relax. Wendell Moore was perfect. There are gazebos, grills and a water park under construction. Large playground, too. Really beautiful and really clean.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
