Confirmed from The Narrows Reserve Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“I love that the river is there and that the trails are well-maintained and mostly flat.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“The Narrows is a nice spot with a beautiful path along the water.”

🪧 well-marked 3 mentions

“The trails are easy to follow and there’s several miles worth, making for a solid few hours you can spend here.”

I always like taking this trail. It meanders through the woods through a loop that sits on a hill. You walk along the river and can hear ducks and geese and see birds rummaging around in the leaves. Also rabbits and squirrels abound. Due to all the snow melt today’s hike was extremely muddy. Absolutely worth it though.

The Narrows is a nice spot with a beautiful path along the water. There’s a few options as far as trails. It hasn’t changed much over the past decade as I relied on my past experience here to navigate the River loop. My only suggestion is the trails aren’t marked well/often.

Apparently the nature center closes in the winter, which is a shame. The trails are easy to follow and there’s several miles worth, making for a solid few hours you can spend here. Typical vault restrooms at the parking lot, which has plenty of spaces.

Awesome Nature Reserve. Very nice trails, although some muddy, but it did rain a few days prior. A lot of the trail butted up next to the Little Miami River. Most of the trails were wide and well marked. The coolest thing was the huge trees.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 8 mentions

“Have to keep mind that when one is out in nature, there will be roots sticking up, loose rocks and mud after rain so one does need to keep their footing in mind.”
