Confirmed from The Rick Herrema Foundation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Family-friendly outdoor space featuring a treehouse village, soccer nets, a playground and a ninja course.

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“Creative play spaces that bring out the imagination of all ages.”

Safe and fun for all ages. It’s got nice, shaded play sets and swings and a large area of covered picnic tables. There’s lots of seating for parents who don’t want to run around but also want to keep an eye on their little ones. The big sand box was a hit with my baby.

My son and I come here often. They have such an amazing setup outside for the kids. The tree village is awesome and has a trampoline up there! They also have a small park, an outdoor covered reading area, big Field to run in, soccer nets, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I love this place! It’s amazing, I think more playgrounds should be like this. I really enjoyed the variety of activities and how they had stuff for kids of different ages.

My first time there it was an amazing space. Today there was a 5k event which was on the very nice running/ walking trail. The open space for various activities was there and everyone was very nice and helpful.

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
