This past weekend I was visiting my alma mater, The University of Georgia. I got my master's there in 1999 and haven't really been back since. My first daughter was little when we were there and we take her for hikes in the Botanical Garden. Back then there was one little garden and the conservatory was brand new.
We LOVE the botanical gardens! There are two separate play areas for the kids, even our teenager enjoys it. In the spring and summer the flowers are seriously impressive and you can spend hours walking around in the peaceful surroundings.
We’ve taken our family here multiple times and all different seasons and it’s always a great day. If you have small kids, it’s a wonderful place to let them run around and play on the equipment and to also show them different trees, flowers and shrubs when they’re a little older, they have a art center.
Beautiful and peaceful botanical gardens offering hiking trails and great play areas for younger kids. There is a porcelain museum as well that we unfortunately didn't have the time to visit on our trip (we stopped for an hour or so on our way back home to Fl from Helen).
