Confirmed from The Whittier Greenway Trail (North End)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly pathway for hiking, cycling and running, featuring bridges and greenery.

Love this trail. Great hours, open from 4am to 10pm. Plenty of room on the trail for many runners, walkers, and bikers. I love that the trail is marked with the distance along the ground and large markers at each mile. Beautiful trees along the way. My favorite time to go is early morning right before the sun comes up.

The Greenway trail is an excellent way to move through the city. It is picturesque and refreshing. There are some areas that seem desolate, and you see some shady characters milling around in the bushes; otherwise, it's a pleasant ride. It would be nice if they added benches throughout the trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
