Confirmed from Pico Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a nice and clean park. It has a track that’s perfect for walking or jogging. I took my dog here to let him run around and exercise since the park is so huge. The neighbors that walk at the park are very friendly and polite. I see a lot of dog owners that enjoy stopping to say hi and to meet my crazy pug.

Nice, clean park. My kids love the playground, and ask to come to this park regularly. It has 2 play areas with swings and merry-go-round, nice baseball field, workout area and walking track, basketball gym, and picnic area with grills. Lots of parking on both sides of park. At certain times the restrooms are not open.

Pico Park in Pico Rivera is a great local spot with a lot to offer. The park is well-sized, providing ample space for various activities. One of the highlights is the outdoor basketball court, which is in good condition and perfect for a game with friends or some solo practice.

A quiet little neighborhood park that’s always clean and well-kept. It has basketball courts, a playground, and plenty of open grass. I usually go for short jogs here in the evening. There’s good lighting and it feels safe even after dark. Great for a simple outdoor break.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
