Confirmed from Theis Attaway Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Theis Attaway Nature Center

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (186 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Beautiful and peaceful spot tucked away and protected from the city growth.”

Lovely small escape spot. Short paved walking trail with a catch and release pond and public restrooms. Home to some Cottonmouths and tons of fresh-water jellyfish so keep your eyes open. But come and spend a few minutes having a picnic lunch or looking for turtles.

★★★★★ — Jacquelin , Oct 2021

Cute place with ducks, turtles, small fish. Nice little walking route. It has picnic tables with a small bbq pit.

★★★★★ — Anthony , Aug 2024

Small little park. Has some cool parts to it. Not really meant for walking your pets. More for eating lunch and getting eaten up by mosquitoes.🦟 However we got stared at for the first 10 minutes of being there by an older couple while walking our dog. Maybe I have fans? 🤥

★★★★☆ — Eddy , Apr 2025

A lovely place, but very small. It feels like you are on a little island of nature surrounded by city on all sides. Pets are okay on leash. The walking trail is paved but very short. Lots of areas for picnicking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
